Prof. Dr. Engr. Ali Sajid, PhD  (USA) Tamgh-i-Imtiaz

Dr. Ali Sajid is a  retd Lt Col and a Founding Professor of Management & Leadership, of NUST, which he joined in 1995, as a Corporate Trainer, and a Community Development Volunteer. He has extensive experience in management and top-level administration of Federal Govt and Provincial organizations including at the Planning Commission of Pakistan. where he successfully delivered outstanding academic results. For the last 35 years, Dr. Sajid has been actively engaged at top level at BS, MS & PhD levels mainly in the Design, Development, and launching of Programs, Strengthening of Research Culture, experimenting with new teaching/Testing methods, and remaining deeply involved in diversified “Leadership Role” in Leading Public & Private Sector Universities of Pakistan and USA.  

Dr Sajid has done his BS Engg. from UET, Lahore, and then did his MS & PhD in Engg. Management from The George Washington University, Washington DC, USA, in 1996, where he also taught in 4 Virginia-based Universities for 4 years & also worked at Word Bank HQ on various professional assignments. Dr. Sajid has trained, 10s of 100s trainees/students as Faculty of NUST EME College,& NUST Business School (1995-05).

Dr Sajid has the “Unique honour to conceive & successfully launch” the five most successful Management/Business Schools/Inst. from the very beginning in sr leadership position. These are (a) Mgt Science Dept, EME College Isld, 1995 (b) NUST School of Business 1999, (c) CASE, Islamabad (d) Inst. of Business & Mgmt @ UET, Lahore (e) Lahore School of Professional Studies, Univ of Lahore, Lahore. He conceived, designed, and successfully launched and took this institution of higher learning at new academic heights and also generated revenue in the tune of Billions of Rupees.

Apart from working on strong academic leadership positions, Dr. Ali Sajid, has also extensively been involved in Training & Consultancy of Leadership & Org Development, Management of Change, Motivational aspects of Leadership, TQM, Soft & Interpersonal Skills, Quality of Services & Productivity Improvement, etc. Faculty Training & Development in Public Sector Institutions like Punjab University, KRL, Isld, Naval War College, Lahore, Leadership Development Program for faculty & staff of Inst of Space Technology, Isld, Kinnaird College, KE Med University, Lahore, Outcome Based Education at Fed HEC, & HEC Punjab Lahore  Seminars at platform of PEC, NIPA/NIM, NDU, SUPARCO, Staff College, Quetta, Civil Services Academy, Lahore & Police Academy, Islamabad, Police Training College, Sahala/Lahore Management & Professional Development Dept (MPDD) Punjab, Govt , Engg Academy, Lahore, NPO (Isld), NAVTTC & dozens of other national level Institutions since 1996. At the moment, he is also engaged in Leadership Training for Principals/Faculty & at TEVTA Faculty, Murree & Vet Doc of Punjab Govt. & NEPRA Isld.

Dr. Ali Sajid is heavily engaged in Leadership Development Programs as Director, Leadership & Management Development Associates (LMDA Training). In recognition of his national level contribution, he was awarded "Medal of Distinction”, by Govt of Pakistan.  Dr Sajid has also served as elected Member PEC (2015-18), He is also served as elected Chairman of “Quality & Productivity Society of Pakistan”. He also worked in Planning Commission of Pakistan as “Adviser:” on Quality to Min of Planning & Development. He is also active in Community Services & Youth Development Programs as Volunteer and has opened many free schools and clinics for poor & marginalized segments of Pakistan & also imparted 100s of free life skills and personality development training seminars for youth across Pakistan.
